  • Pro tips

Hands Off - Do not let anyone touch your freshly made tattoo as bacteria might infect it, keep your own hands off as well.

Don’t Pick - Your tattoo will peel. This is normal! Picking can delay healing, cause fading, and increase chances of infection.

Stay out of the Sun - Do not expose your tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning beds. It may fade your tattoo. Sunscreen should be applied regularly.

Stick to the shower - Do not soak/submerge your tattoo until fully healed; stay out of pools, hot tubs, oceans, etc.

  • SANIDERM AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

    3 - 4 - 7

    (3) I recommend leaving your saniderm on for up to three days, if it comes off before that it is fine but I would not suggest pulling it off the day of. Any blood or plasma your tattoo emits will be trapped in the bandage, just leave it alone.

On the third evening pull the saniderm off while in a warm shower, to help loosen the adhesive. The bandage sticks to the skin around the tattoo so make sure you pull closely to the skin and not up to reduce irritation from pulling.

After the initial wash apply a small amount of ointment to the tattoo; I personally use coconut oil for the entire healing process of my tattoos but if you have an ointment you have used before feel free to continue utilizing what works for you. If you can see the ointment you have too much on!

    (4) Wash and dry your tattoo three to five times a day for four days once the saniderm has been removed. Your tattoo will be peeling at this point, do not pick or scratch at your piece! Apply ointment for four days.

    (7) On the seventh day begin to apply non-scented lotion to your tattoo until fully healed!

If at any point your tattoo becomes exposed to outside air remove the whole bandage as a contaminate could be sandwiched against your tattoo causing irritation or infection

  • After care, without saniderm

Leave your initial bandage on for at least one hour. After removal wash your tattoo with an antibacterial liquid soap and warm water to remove any plasma/blood (I recommend unscented Dial or Softsoap) rinse with cold water to close your pores. Be gentle, do not use anything excessively abrasive.

Gently pat dry and allow to air dry. After your tattoo is dry apply a small about of ointment. I personally recommend coconut oil. Do not use Vaseline, petroleum, Neosporin, or scented lotions. If you can see the ointment you have too much on, pat with a clean paper towel to remove the excess. Wash, dry, and apply ointment 3-5 times daily, as needed.

Repeat this washing process for 7-10 days.

After day 3 or 4: On the 3rd or 4th day, your tattoo will begin to peel, do not scratch or pick at your tattoo!

Begin applying a nonscented lotion instead of ointment on the 9/ 10 day until fully healed.
